Use the Flat Rest Insert for projects that requires a larger, more stable surface to drill the starter hole.

The larger surface area of the Flat Rest allows for more stability and control. It helps to keep the sample piece perpendicular to the drill bit, so the started hole is oriented correctly.

Once you have a starter hole, you can switch back to the Counterpart to finish the hole for perfect alignment and no blow-out chip on the back.

All Gunther Systems come with a Flat Rest Insert. Purchase this if you cannot find your original or want an extra.
